Coming to Hallmark in October 2023
A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery
Friday, October 6th 9/8c
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Hannah Swensen (Ali Sweeney) finds herself embroiled in a family affair when her mother, Delores, stumbles upon the dead body of a regular Cookie Jar customer while scouting houses for Hannah’s sister Michelle (Tess Atkins). However, Hannah suspects that Mike (Cameron Mathison) and the Sheriff (Mike Dopud) are targeting the wrong person. To help her solve the mystery, Hannah’s sister, Andrea (Lisa Durupt), joins the investigation. Together, can they uncover the identity of the killer?
First impression: Wait, is Andrea the sister that was in the original Murder, She Baked series?
3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost
Saturday, October 7 8/7c
This Hallmark original stars Julie Gonzalo, Chris McNally, and Madeleine Arthur in the leading roles, and is about a ghost from the 1920s that refuses to leave a house until the owner, Anna, reconciles with her former partner. The spirit adamantly insists that they cannot move on until Anna does the same. However, the question remains: will this plan actually succeed?
First impression: Absolutely loving a spooky ghost movie on Hallmark in October!
Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows (Friday, October 13, 9/8c, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries)
Friday, October 13 9/8c
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Goldy Berry (DeLoach) lands a gig to cater a grand wedding for her love interest, Tom Schultz’s (Walker) ex, Jessamyn Cole (Amanda Khan). However, things take a dark turn when the groom, Sterling Clearwater (Kareem Malcolm), is found dead and the bride mysteriously disappears. The race is on to find Jessamyn before she meets the same fate as Sterling. But things get even more complicated with the arrival of a new detective, who seems to have a personal vendetta against Tom. It’s a race against the clock to unravel the mystery and find the truth.
First impression: Looks like Tom is getting a new partner, and it’s not amateur detective Goldy.
Field Day (Saturday, October 14, 8/7c, Hallmark Channel)
Saturday, October 14 8/7c
Written by Julie Sherman Wolfe, this original movie portrays the lives of three moms – Jen (played by Rachel Boston), Marissa (played by Carmel Amit), and Kelly (played by Shannon Chan-Kent) – who come together to organize the annual Field Day event at their kids’ school. As they navigate through various challenges, including a less-than-supportive PTO, their friendship deepens and their stories unfold onscreen. Jen, who is coping with the loss of her husband, finds comfort in the school’s PE teacher, Dan (played by Benjamin Ayres). Could their relationship blossom into something more?
