This was the question that sparked a robust conversation in our Shorties Facebook group recently. Apparently, we’re all looking for the perfect pair of undies. Affordable, not too matronly, doesn’t roll down – or ride up – looks cute, comfortable, breathable. Do these perfect panties even exist? Today we’re chatting about where to buy underwear for women.
Where do you buy underwear for yourself?
The answers were varied amongst our Shorties community. Aerie, Target, Gap and Soma were some favorite stores mentioned. A real curveball was that Costco was named more than once as a great place to buy underwear for women. I guess if you’re stocking up on paper towels and eggs, you might as well throw a 5-pack of undies in your cart too.

Multi-Pack Underwear for Women on Amazon
Before the whole Costco discussion, both Megan and I, opted for multi-pack underwear available on Amazon. Apparently those days of delicately choosing a pair of pretty panties are long gone. If we can’t throw them in our cart on a grocery run or get them delivered Prime the next day, we don’t want them.
My personal favorite are the Fruit of the Loom Women’s Breathable 4-pack undies for $11 -$22 (depending on size). What I really like about the Fruit of the Loom Breathable underwear is its micro-mesh and wicks away moisture. The drawback to buying this particular style on Amazon is that the colors are very limited.
Megan opts for Warner’s Women’s Blissful Benefits No Muffin Top 3-Pack Hipster for $7-$30. They are also breathable with lightweight fabric and they claim to smooth out any “muffin top.” Regardless of the name, these are pretty and comfortable.

Have You Seen Target’s Auden Underwear?
Longing for underwear that doesn’t come in a multi-pack? Target’s Auden brand of underwear are cute, come in a variety of styles (thongs, hipster, bikini, high-cut bikini, and boy shorts) and colors/patterns. Price is usually $4.25 – $5 per pair and offers like 5/$20 are often available. The best news is the size availability. XS – plus size available in-store and online.
