Earlier this spring, Megan and I attended a professional conference but before we packed our bags we decided to both subscribe to Rocksbox to tjuzs up our wardrobes a little bit.
Megan had used Rocksbox before and knew that if we didn’t like what was in our first box that we’d have enough time to send it back and get another set before the conference. I’ve always been envious of Megan’s ability to accessorize. She makes it look effortless. Me? I’ve long struggled with fancy things. I feel way out of my comfort zone with anything beyond a stud earring and my wedding ring. But, she assured me I’d find something I loved and felt comfortable in.
We filmed this Rocksbox unboxing back in May and re-watching it makes me wish I would have kept the Olivia and Grace Lorena Earrings in Purple Chalcedony. The $70 price tag scared me off so I sent them back. They did go on sale a few weeks ago at nearly half off but I had forgotten how cute they were and decided to pass again.
Megan has since canceled her Rocksbox subscription but re-ups whenever she needs something special. I have kept mine because coming home to a little box of jewelry is life, friends. I mentioned in the video that I used to subscribe to Stitch Fix and I would be devastated when the clothes didn’t fit. Jewelry most always fits.
So, What to Expect from Rocksbox?
First you complete a style survey to give Rocksbox an idea of what your vibe is. Based on those responses, you add items to your wish list. They have necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings from brands like Kendra Scott, Olivia and Grace, Gorjana, Jenny Bird, House of Harlow 1960, Slate and many others. For $19/month, Rocksbox will send you three items from your wish list and you choose to wear and keep or wear and send back. You pay a reduced “member’s price” for anything you keep. The best part is, Rocksbox offers unlimited swaps. Which means, if you don’t like anything, send it back immediately and get another box all for that $19/month.

What have I kept since subscribing to Rocksbox? I’ve kept at least one piece from several of the boxes I’ve received. In their defense, they are sending me what’s on my wish list. Sometimes though the piece is nothing like the photo in terms of daintiness or color. Once a bracelet came that was damaged and that was disappointing but you have to remember that this stuff has likely been worn by another subscriber.

I’m still getting used to regularly wearing most these pieces. I’m learning what I can pair with stuff I already own, how to wear it with my ultra-casual wardrobe and just feeling comfortable out of my comfort zone. I love feeling happy when my Rocksbox arrives and seeing what’s inside.
This is a totally non-sponsored review of Rocksbox. Which means, they are not paying me to write about their service or jewelry. I pay for my own monthly subscription and whatever pieces I decide to keep. Get your first month of Rocksbox for free or use WENDYNBFF1 when you sign up.
