Over Mother’s Day weekend my husband and I headed to Vegas for the first of two, possibly THREE trips I’m taking to Vegas this year, all within the next couple of months. My husband really, really wanted to see Lionel Richie and we were able to get my parents to watch the kids, so I didn’t need much convincing to head out of town.Turns out that there were only single seats available to Lionel, unless we wanted to pay a fortune for resale tickets, so I gladly sat out of that concert and headed to the spa for some peace and quiet.
It was a pretty quiet and easy weekend. We had visions of spending all day Saturday at the pool, but the weather was not on our side, so we hit up the mall instead. Come back on Friday to see what I picked up at LUSH while we were there. We spent zero minutes gambling, which is my one big regret from the weekend, but we’re headed back next month to see Garth so I’ll make up for it!
We stayed at the Four Seasons, which is just the top four floors of the Mandalay Bay. It’s a nice respite from all of the Vegasness of Las Vegas – it has a separate entrance without a casino, so you’re not living in a smoke cloud all weekend. Since it’s attached to the Mandalay Bay it’s easy to access all of that when you want it. It also has its own quiet and peaceful pool (and access to the Mandalay pool is included as well.) I would definitely stay there again.
