Remember when Issac Mizrahi used to design for Target? Or how about when Target and Missoni broke all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales records with their collaboration in 2011. Since then Target has collaborated with Jason Wu, CFDA and Neiman Marcus, TOMS, Lilly Pulitzer and now Victoria Beckham. Did you fall prey to the Victoria Beckham for Target collaboration?
So, the idea of buying some cool Victoria Beckham stuff for cheap gave me life and though I didn’t run out on the day it was launched in stores, I opted to look online and see what was available.
I’ve got to say, I wasn’t super impressed with the women’s line at all. Too bright, too bold and way too short for this old lady. I will give all the props to VB for offering a range of sizes but it was a hard pass from me.
The Victoria Beckham for Target girls’ stuff on the other hand had me clicking and adding to my shopping cart in fashion feeding frenzy. I submitted my order so fast that I couldn’t even remember what I purchased when the box landed on my doorstep. My nine year old daughter has some pretty strong opinions these days about what she wants to wear and I didn’t really know if any of the stuff I ordered was in her lane (spoiler alert…she liked all of it).

I love the simplicity of this VB x Target navy blue embroidered romper and the Blush Bunny Sweater is so incredibly soft that I want one for myself!
The English floral romper was my daughter’s favorite from the bunch and though I couldn’t find the exact link, here’s an equally adorable dress in the same whimsy print. In our video, I said the appliqué dress read green more than tan. Well, it’s actually sage green so that makes sense now.
A couple of fun little extras I’m stashing away for a summer road trip are the Victoria Beckham sticker book and Paper Doll set. These would also make a great birthday gift.
Last week during my regular Target run, I did another Victoria Beckham sweep and still wasn’t in love with anything other that the girls’ and baby stuff. I picked up another dress for my daughter. I’m just so impressed by the quality of the items and I’m sure she’ll get plenty of wear out of these adorable pieces.
Tell us: Did you shop from the Victoria Beckham for Target collaboration? What did you get? What didn’t you like? Who would you like to see Target collaborate with next? Or should Target just stick to favorites from Massimo and Merona?
I am with you, Wendy… I DID NOT understand the bunnies on the women’s collars nor all the drop-waist schoolgirl nonsense and huge flowers. Although, I gotta say, as a daughter, I’d be pretty stoked if my mom bought me a box full of clothes! (Even today! Even from Target!)
