BREAKING TARGET NEWS…did you know the Target Dollar Spot has been renamed to Bullseye’s Playground?
I’m not exactly sure how I feel about it but it’s all making sense now
- A new name means higher prices. The selection of $1 items has dwindled over the last year. We’ve been seeing way more items priced at $3 and some as high as $9 (we’re looking at you Alex Art Supplies. Go ahead and see yourself back on over to the craft aisle and stop pretending to be affordable stocking stuffers). Target Corp says items will be priced between $1 – $5 in the new Bulleye’s Playground.
- The Dollar Spot has also had a make over (or at least in my two closest locations). Everyone knows you have to jockey for cart position in the Dollar Spot. Target has now expanded the section and created mini vignettes curated with specific themes for holidays, kids and lifestyle. Star Wars vignette, craft vignette, stationery vignette and more. All prime for the picking.
The big plastic dog playing in an empty box labeled as Bullseye’s Playground should have been a major tip off but maybe we just hadn’t grabbed our Starbucks yet.
Watch our Target Dollar Spot Holiday Haul and we’re pretty certain we’ll be back soon with a Valentine’s Day haul. Tell us: Are you a sucker for the Target Dollar Spot? What’s your favorite thing to buy from there?
