We’re calling it right now, this is our current favorite of the sample size boxes (think Birchbox, Ipsy, etc.) Although, to be fair, that assessment could change as soon as the next great box arrives. I think the thing we like the most about the Target box is that most of the stuff is from brands we know and know where to find them – unlike some of the stuff that would show up in other subscriptions. Target is not a subscription box – it has been coming out roughly once a month lately, and typically sells out within a few hours of it being posted. If you hear of it going on sale, do your friends (and us) a favor and spread the news! We missed last month’s box and we were blue.
Before we get into the video let’s talk about my eyebrows. Why are they so RED? I know my hair is red, but what happened here? I used a different eyebrow pencil, but not one I had never used before, so maybe it went bad?
And yes, I’m aware my box is upside down it the thumbnail. Well, I’m aware that it’s upside down NOW. When we filmed this I was obviously clueless.
Pantene Airspray – Useful. Fine. Whatever.
Marlowe Body Butter – This smells good and feels great on the skin. I’m drowning in body butters but that doesn’t stop me from loving them.
Laneige Water Bank Soothing Gel Mask – Wendy loves masks and I find that I just never really use them. This is a pricey brand for Target and people love it, so I might give it a whirl.
Cerave Healing Ointment – This is the ittiest bittiest sample ever, but it will work well as a lip balm.
Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation – It’s risky for a sample box to send out a foundation sample in one color, but the Classic Ivory shade in the box might work for me. I’m trying it out today and will report back.
Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport Sunscreen – Smells good, doesn’t feel sticky and is a nice size for keeping in my purse or car for those days I forget sunscreen for school or the park.
CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick – This was a bright, fun color, but it stained my lips like crazy. I’m really more of a lip gloss girl.
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes – You watched the video, right? You heard about Wendy’s totally unorthodox use of these and how Megan was totally shamed for an off-label use?
