Swedish Fish Oreo? SWEDISH FISH OREO. What is the world is happening? This post has been updated for 2021.
We are usually thrilled to find a new Oreo flavor in stores, even if that flavor sounds like it will be terrible. I was so pleasantly surprised by the Cotton Candy Oreos last year that I’m always waiting for another surprise winner.
When I saw Swedish Fish Oreos in my Ralph’s ad last week, I was really hoping for the best while knowing there was little chance this could be good. Even the checker did a double take as I grabbed a package at 8:15 in the morning.
Was this our WORST taste test? It definitely comes close, but then again we also had booger flavored jelly beans and bacon soda, so I think it’s a close race for that particular title. However, both Wendy’s daughter and husband enjoyed these cookies. I was honestly shocked to hear that. Did you hear us say they taste like nail polish remover?
Are Boysenberries Real?
Finally, let’s talk about boysenberries. I almost forgot that we tried another cookie in this video. I really believed what I was saying when I said that they’re not real. In my mind they were a combination of berries used in boysenberry pie and boysenberry juice, as found at Knott’s Berry Farm. That was partly true, they are definitely a hybrid berry, but one that can be grown on a tree. Color me surprised!
