It feels silly to tell you how much I love Target. Now that the world is slowly reopening, trips to Target are amazing again. Those were sad days when curbside pickup replaced long strolls down every aisle with an iced coffee in hand. I’m excited to share some summer must-haves in this update summer Target haul post. This post has been updated for 2021.
My biggest problem in Target is the random impulse shopping. The Dollar Spot is full with summer themed toys and travel needs, cute stationery, 4th of July decor and so much more right now. It’s hard to get out of the store without something from the Dollar Spot.
I’ve been trying to curb my impulse shopping with a new method of keeping a running list in the Notes app. This way I can focus on getting the stuff I need rather than every bright, shiny and new display.
Let’s dive right in to the good stuff!

Summer Skin Care and Sun Care from Target
Pacifica Pineapple Underarm Deodorant Wipes 30ct • Pacifica • $8.99 – These wipes live in my tennis bag and are perfect for freshening up post-tennis when I have errands to run and no time to run home and shower.
Harry’s Fig Body Wash • $6.99 • – I’ve talked about this body was on the podcast and I’m here to say again that body wash isn’t gender specific. Look past the fact that you’re shopping from the “men’s section” and grab this gentle and rich body wash that smells amazing.
Pacifica Pineapple Quench Oil-Free Water Serum 1.7 fl oz • Pacifica • $11.29 – Now that the weather is warmer, keeping my oily skin at bay during the day is a full-time job. I love this moisturizer? Primer? Mattifier? from Pacifica and how it keeps my makeup from sliding off of my face throughout the day.
Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion – SPF 30 • Neutrogena • $7.99 – I am always on the hunt for a daily facial sunscreen in the summer that performs. I’ve found some that I’ve liked in the past, but nothing that I’ve really loved the way that I love this. It absorbs quickly, has no white cast, dries down so that it feels like you’re wearing a primer on your skin, and looks great under makeup. This comes in both SPF 30 and 50, and you know I’m wearing the 50.
Alba Acne Pimple Patch – 40ct • Alba • $7.99 – I bought these after I failed to re-order my beloved CosRx Pimple Patches from Amazon. They reduce a breakout significantly in size overnight and often I wake up with a completely flat spot where the pimple used to be. I don’t claim to understand how they work, but they do work!
Summer Home Accessories from Target
Project 62 Wellness Gratitude Candle • $8 – $12 • – Who can escape Target without a candle? This line from Project 62 is so lovely. Candles come in a pretty, reusable glass container and the scents smell so good. Gratitude was my favorite with notes of bergamot and fig.
Hilton Carter Glass/Metal Terrarium Planter • $30 • – Hilton Carter’s new house plant line comes at the perfect time since so many of us became house plant lovers over the last year. I fell in love with this pretty metal terrarium and can’t wait to kill a plant in it.
Summer Pajamas and Dresses
Stars Above Top & Shorts Pajama • $21.99 • – I purchased a slightly different version of this a few years ago and I loved it SO MUCH. I might buy a second one just so that I always have one in the rotation.
RIXO for Target Floral Ruffle Strap Dress $45 – Get this dress in your cart today, don’t wait or it will be gone. RIXO is part of the Designer Dress Collection launched in May. There are several adorable dresses but this is the most wearable.
Universal Thread Striped Ruffle Dress $30 – If you don’t follow our Instagram Stories, you missed out on the hilarious attempt to try this dress on. Once I figured it out, I deemed this my go-to summer dress.
Universal Thread Drawstring Closure Soft Backpack • $28 – Is this not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen? I love this backpack and am so excited for several upcoming trips (finally!) where I get to put it to good use.
