After a couple of pretty great months of the POPSUGAR Must Have Box we were bound to get a dud, right? We aren’t entirely sure the customer they had in mind when curating the April 2016 box but its theme was “Relaxed Days at Home.” Our idea of relaxing at home has zero to do with Chrissy Teigen.
Let us present the evidence.
Exhibit #1: Royal Apothic Field Poppy Conservatories Hand Creme
The best thing about this cream was the tube ringer that was included. The scent of this creme was WAY TOO overwhelming. Or as Megan said, “This is your Grandma’s thirty year old floral lotion.”
Exhibit #2: Noon Design Shop Lemons Flour Sack Tea Towel
This was a cute towel and we’re big fans of a flour sack towel but Target offers cuter and more affordable tea towels. Would you like us to put together a post of our favorites?
Exhibit #3: Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings: Recipes For All the Food You Want to Eat
We get that Chrissy Teigen is America’s Sweetheart but a book of photos of her feeding John isn’t one I want to add to my library. This one will go next to our “I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding” by Jessica Simpson (circa her first marriage to Nick Lachey).
Exhibit #4: BloomThat $20 Gift Card
Megan’s biggest gripe is that the gift cards included in most subscription boxes never cover the full amount of items available for sale. Again, she’s correct. Flower deliveries start at $38.
Exhibit #5: Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm
Ok, this was a highlight in the box. Since opening, Megan has fallen head over heels in love with this balm.
Exhibit #6: Canvas Home Tinware Salt & Pepper Shakers
Nope. We said all we needed to say in the video.
Exhibit #7: Next By Nature Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
We had high hopes for these but they weren’t great. We get it’s hard to please everyone with a snack. Send donuts next time.
