The high dropped below 80 degrees today and we got about three drops of rain so naturally, I’m pulling out my winter clothes and buying as many cardigans as I can find. I can’t help myself. Basic is as basic does. Since it’s a day of the week, there’s a sale at Old Navy. Everything is 30% off or 40% off if you’re a cardholder. I’m not an Old Navy cardholder because I like being able to pay my mortgage, and an Old Navy credit card is a one-way ticket to impulse purchase disaster for me.
I didn’t come home with any of the cardigans that I tried on, because I can’t remember what I already own, so I did the responsible thing and came home to see what I really need. That doesn’t mean I came home empty-handed. I’ll show you what I bought later in the post.
But first, the cardigans!

First up is this warm and cozy dream, appropriately named Super Long Sweater. I think the price is outrageous at $54, but I can also see this being the sort of thing I wear all fall and winter. It reminds me of my Barefoot Dreams cardigan that I love.
Next is the Long Line Sweater in two colors and two sizes. On the left, I’m wearing a medium and I’m wearing a large on the right. I prefer the large, but if you want something a bit more tailored you can size down. This comes in a lot of colors and I can see this length being a bit more wearable than the cardigan above.
What I bought at Old Navy
As I mentioned I left both of these in the store, but I did come home with two items that are absolutely in my wheelhouse of comfy, casual clothes.
I probably should have tried these on with something other than what I wore in the store, but I loved these joggers the minute I put them on and I anticipate wearing them over and over again.
This tunic sweatshirt is soft as a dream and covers your butt so you can wear it with leggings, which is what I plan to do. Often.

My favorite is that sweatshirt! I think I need to try that one on. Also, I think it’s hilarious that you are trying on comfy, warm sweaters while wearing sandals.
