I had such a great reading month in April that it kind of bummed me out that I had a hard time getting into any of the books I had on hand in May. However, once I got reading, I ended up with four books that I loved, so it was a win in the end. (This post contains affiliate links.)
The Lake House – This has been on everyone’s list over the past couple of years and I finally got to see what the hype was all about. It took me FOREVER to really get into this book since the narration changes points of view quite a bit. Like with many mysteries I found myself thinking “get on with it, already!” but was ultimately pleased with the payoff in the end and felt like all of the buildup had been worth it.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You & Always and Forever, Lara Jean – I’m including all three of these together because I think you should read them all together if you haven’t started the series yet. I read the first two books a while back and when the third was released I read all three of them over Memorial Day Weekend. This is such a great YA series and it’s the kind of thing you can easily lose yourself in. The books fly by and I find myself mildly ruined for other books for a few days afterward. I listened to the audio of one of these books and while I’m not the biggest fans of audiobooks I did think the audio was really well done if that’s your thing.
We have a super fun reading featuring coming next week that we’re currently putting the final touches on, so if you’re a reader, you’re going to want to come back for that!
