Long Story Short – September

This month we’re trying something new and sharing little bits about the last month with you in this video. I loved the idea when Wendy had it and it was fun to just sit and chat about the last month.

Highlights included Wendy’s family trip to Texas for a football game and a seriously unfortunate incident at the game. (I should note that she also came home from this trip with official Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders poms for me, which was the highlight of my birthday.)

It was also my birthday this month and I celebrated with lots of cupcakes and Garth Brooks concerts two nights in a row.

 

Finally, we chat back to school and things are not going as swimmingly as we might like. We’ll take all of the advice you’ve got.

Looking forward, Halloween is this month. I like the start of the holiday season but Halloween has never been my favorite. I like the candy and some cute decor but gory and scary Halloween is not my jam at all. The idea of dressing up gives me hives, much to my daughter’s disappointment. (My son is old enough that he’s probably pretty happy that I don’t dress up and just blend into the background.) However, every year we host a big Halloween block party and tons of the adults dress up and maybe, just maybe, this will be the year I get into the spirit.
