In our video days, Wendy and I created a series called One True Love where we shared our favorite things each month. Everything from cleaning products to the jeans we can’t live without. So, with the new year upon us, we thought we’d reintroduce this idea for 2021. This post has been updated.

Favorite Old Navy Jeans for Women Over 40
Wendy’s love runs deep for an affordable Old Navy Boyfriend jean. She walks right past the Rockstar Skinny jeans to the mid-rise straight styles because they are a better fit for her body type.
The Mid-Rise Boyfriend Straight jeans have a broken-in, comfortable feel. Old Navy will change up the length of these jeans seasonally. During the summer months, you might find raw edges or a cropped length. There are options to get a pair with or without distressed knees. Rolling the cuff will give it that “boyfriend” styled look, plus this jean can be dressed up or down with the right kind of shoe.

Best Fitting Skinny Jeans
In spite of the super long name, Megan’s favorite skinny jeans are the Wit & Wisdom Super Smooth Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans
They are slimming and flattering and stretchy without stretching out. Her only wish was that this particular style came in different washes, but all the same she just bought herself a second pair of these as they are in heavy rotation.

Those are our favorite jeans we can’t live without. Do you have a favorite, go-to denim jean or are you shopping for something new? Our best advice is to try as many different jeans on as you can to find what works for you.

My current favorites are the Levi Denizen from Target, both the jeggings and the skinny. They are stretchy and comfortable with a medium rise. I had to size up from my normal “number” but I wear them almost daily.

I forgot how much I love Denizen jeans! I have a pair of boot cuts, that might not be IN, but I don’t care because they’re so comfortable!
