Updated for 2020. When we were planning out our content for the rest of the year, Wendy issued a challenge. She offered to clean my house (and make that into a video) if I would style a dining room table for her. Obviously I immediately said YES. (Wendy is the queen of clean. You can see more of her cleaning tips here!)

To know me is to know that I love holiday decor, and that extends to my dining room table. We started with a Christmas themed tablescape and now we have setting specifically for Easter and fall as well. That snowballed into a desire to keep my table set all of the time. The upside is that my table always looks nice and I won’t use that big, open, empty space as dumping ground for mail, half-finished projects and anything else that needs to be put away.
How to Style Your Dining Room Table
Setting a dining room table is a simple formula of table runner + placemat + plates (maybe a charger) + napkins + centerpiece + seasonal touches. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite neutral tablescape options below.

It’s fun to stick with neutrals, but not everything needs to be all one color. My everyday table look is white with touches of gray, while Wendy’s is white with touches of beige.
