Real talk: I’m embarrassed at how disorganized my refrigerator and food pantry can get. I can’t believe I opened it up to the internet to show everyone but it’s a job that often needs to be tackled in my home. I think it’s because I’m a poor planner and I’m constantly at the grocery store shopping for what I think we need before taking stock in what we already have and then I wonder why I have three packages of string cheese and what can I do with all that deli meat. A Clean With Me: Refrigerator edition was bound to happen eventually.
You know who is great at planning, shopping and budgeting? Megan! I’ve been trying to convince her to do a mini-series on how she does it. I certainly need a lesson.
Anyway, today I’m sharing what works best for me when cleaning out my refrigerator. I had high hopes to get to the pantry in this video but it was too much in the time I was working in. I’m hopeful to make a Clean with Me pantry specific video for you all soon.

I usually throw a box of baking soda in the refrigerator to deodorize it but something in my thought it would be a good idea to throw some freshly sliced lemons on top. It worked for a day or two until the lemons went bad. Maybe next time I might use a few drops of essential oils instead of the fresh lemon.
What I was listening to: Every great Clean With Me session comes with a great podcast. During today’s clean out, I listened to Missing Richard Simmons and Stranglers.
