Messy Fridges Happen
I’m not sure why my refrigerator gets so messy. I think it’s because I’m a poor planner and I’m constantly at the grocery store shopping for what I think we need before taking stock in what we already have and then I wonder why I have three packages of string cheese and what can I do with all that deli meat.
Quick and Easy Tips To Clean Your Refrigerator
Anyway, today I’m sharing what works best for me when cleaning out my refrigerator. I had high hopes to get to the pantry in this video but it was too much in the time I was working in. I’m hopeful to make a Clean with Me pantry specific video for you all soon.

Remove all food from your refrigerator!
Yes, everything!
Toss anything that has gone bad, move things up front that are close to expiring. Make of note of anything that needs replacing.
Remove your fridge drawers
My favorite hack for cleaning out the refrigerator is to take the crisper drawers outside and wash them down. I have a sink that will fit them, but it’s just easier to throw those drawers outside, hose them down and let the sun dry them off.
Remove Shelves
Wash them in the sink or outside with soap and warm water. Dry and Replace
Deodorize the Refrigerator
I usually throw a box of baking soda in the refrigerator to deodorize it but something in my thought it would be a good idea to throw some freshly sliced lemons on top. It worked for a day or two until the lemons went bad. Maybe next time I might use a few drops of essential oils instead of the fresh lemon.
