Seven years ago I participated in a simple giving program where individuals who were having a tough time providing Christmas for their children signed up to receive a small gift from someone who found themselves in a position to give. I sent the egift card and received a heartfelt thank you from the person who received my gift. And then, to be honest, I didn’t think about it again. That’s not to say that we don’t do a fair bit of giving at the holidays, but I always feel like we could do more.
Yesterday, I received an email from the person who received my gift seven years ago, asking if I know of any other similar programs happening this year. And no, none immediately came to mind, but I ran it by Wendy and she was game for making it happen ourselves.
We know the holidays can be a challenging time for a lot of reasons, and we want to help take away a tiny bit of stress. So, here’s the deal.

Christmas will always be as long as we stand heart to heart and hand in hand. – Dr. Suess
This is such an awesome idea.
