We recently put out a call for gift guide requests on Instagram and we got several great ideas. Many of you wanted a gift guide for grandparents and my first reaction was “I know, right?” My parents are the hardest people on my list to buy for. They’re generally happy just to spend time with us during the holidays, they need absolutely nothing, and, quite frankly, their tastes often exceed my budget. This, however, is not a lost cause. We’ve searched high and low for some great gifts for the grandparents in your life.

The Best Gifts for Grandparents
Gray Malin Puzzle – Is it a cliche, or do grandparent types truly enjoy puzzles. My mom is a grandparent and she’s a big fan of puzzles. We love this puzzle of a well-known Gray Malin print. Include a puzzle mat with you’re gift and you’re all set.
Digital Photo From from Aura – It’s definitely not a cliche to say that grandparents love pictures of their grandchildren. With the Aura digital frame you can help them stay connected by uploading photos from anywhere. No subscription fee, no storage fee, unlimited cloud storage AND it was one of Oprah’s favorite things.
Leather Bookmark – ZeeBee Leather: We dare you not to fall head over heels with the gorgeous handmade leather items from ZeeBee Leather. Both of my parents are avid readers and while one prefers ebooks, the other has an endless stack of books on her nightstand.
New York Times Birthday Book – A few years ago I bought these for all of the grandparents in our family on the recommendation of a lovely friend, and they were a hit. The books include the front page of the New York Times on their birthday for every year since the year they were born. There are also some history making front pages included at the back of the book.
New York Times Front Page Puzzle – Choose any date from 1851 and you can get a puzzle featuring the New York Times Front Page from that day. It’s both sentimental and a great activity to do at home. Perhaps the day they became a grandparent? Or a day that’s special just to them – their birthday, wedding anniversary or the day the came home from a deployment – all historical days in their own lives.
MasterClass Subscription – With classes in gardening, cooking, tennis, writing, and SO much more, all taught by masters in their field, this is a great gift for someone with a little time on their hands who doesn’t want anymore STUFF>
NYT Saturday Crosswords – We’re leaning in hard on the cliches in this post, I guess, but this really screams BUY THIS FOR GRANDMA to me.
I love you because…– Grandparents will go wild for this sweet book with handwritten reasons why they’re loved. They’ll especially love the memory of how their grandkids handwriting changed over the year.
Pothos in a Ceramic Planter – Even Megan can’t kill a Pothos! I know we’re all trying to reduce the amount of “stuff” we have lying around the house, but houseplants don’t fall into that category for me. Houseplants add life to a home, and watering them makes me feel like a caretaker for about five minutes a week.
Perhaps consider adding this absolutely adorable watering can to your gift.
Grandparent Pillow – This would be an especially sweet gift for a grandparent who welcomed their first grandchild this year.
