We’re big time Gilmore Girls fans around here so you can image our delight when we learned Ulta was releasing a brand new Ulta Beauty x Gilmore Girls makeup collection. New beauty products and accessories inspired by the iconic Gilmore Girls and the legendary Stars Hallow are finally available and going faster than a Lorelai Gilmore monologue.

What is in the Gilmore Girls Makeup Collection from Ulta?
The Gilmore Girl makeup collection is very limited and – if we’re being honest – definitely geared toward a younger buyer who has never heard of the WB or the CW.
Included in the collection is a 4-piece lip crayon set, a 6-piece gel eye liner set, a 4-piece nail polish set, an eye shadow duo including 8 shadow colors, a brush and sponge set, a Luke’s Diner coffee mug with two coffee themed body products, and a set of hair accessories including a knotted headband and two scrunchies.
Items range from $14-$20.
Popular from the Gilmore Girls Makeup Collab
Currently out of stock is the 4-piece lip crayon set ($14). The set includes one matte red (“Classic”), one matte nude (“No Cellphones”), one glossy mauve (“Vicious Trollop”) and one glossy nude (“First Kiss”). The reviews for the lip crayons are all over the place with a 3.2 overall rating.
Other popular items from the Gilmore Girls makeup collaboration are the makeup brush and sponge set ($20), the Luke’s mug with coffee-scented body products ($16) and the 4-piece nail polish set ($18). If you ask us, these three items make great stocking stuffers. Grab them before they are sold out!
One item getting some not-so-great reviews is the 6-piece Gilmore Girls gel liner set ($18). Many, many unhappy reviews about the names of the items (which if the product works, who cares if one of the shades is called “Doose’s Market”). But, there are just as many reviews complaining about the product breaking upon using it.
The eyeshadow palette duo ($16) is the item I’m most interested in purchasing for myself. An eight-piece set comes with some very pretty, neutral shades divided between two quads. Online, it looks as if three shades in one quad are matte with one shimmer shade. There are currently no reviews yet on the palette duo.
Another unreviewed item from the collection is the headband and scrunchies set ($14). It is a very basic set of hair accessories, especially because two of the items are solid navy. Only one of the scrunchies is inspired by Chilton’s plaid uniform.
Where is the Gilmore Candle in the Ulta Ad?
If you’ve seen the print ad, you might have noticed the three-wick Gilmore Girls inspired candle that reads “Coffee Please & A Shot of Cynicism” on the label. It’s not for sale on the Ulta website. In fact, I scoured the internet looking for it and it’s not to be found.
Make it Gilmore but Why Now?
Some – including us – are wondering why Ulta Beauty would collaborate on a collection for a television show that ended over fourteen years ago. We understand the appeal Gilmore Girls continues to have. But, even the four-episode revival was years ago at this point. Could the universe be hinting at another revival?
