It’s time for favorites! These are the things that we’re using and loving and want to tell you about. It used that this space was all about makeup, but lately our faves have been all over the place. Let’s cut the chit-chat and jump right in. (This post contains affiliate links.)
Megan’s Favorites
Trader Joe’s Cleansing Oil – Don’t buy anything from that link, that price is bonkers. I mean, if you live nowhere near a TJ’s and are dying for two bottles of the stuff, then by all means, be my guest. We both love this gentle cleansing oil that melts makeup right off of your face. I don’t even use an additional cleanser after using this.
Oval Makeup Brush – I couldn’t find the brands that we bought in TJ Maxx on Amazon, but I’m going to assume that some brands may be exclusive to TJ Maxx in the way some of their food brands are. I found a well-reviewed set for a great price. I think the foundation brush is the best of the bunch. I love mine so much and so does Wendy.
Hyaluronic Acid and 2% Retinoid from The Ordinary – I’m hearing so much chatter about these brands so I had to see for myself. I am really enjoying both of these serums and I’m loving the price even more. They are beyond affordable. I’ll be ordering the rosehip oil next.
Fitness Blender – Look, I don’t enjoy working out, but I’m trying to make it a habit. This is a great collection of free workouts that solve my problem of not wanting to work out in front of anyone ever.
Nevertheless She Persisted Tote Bag and Bracelet – Is this the cutest bag you’ve ever seen? EVER? I love it, and it’s the perfect size for throwing in the extra things I need throughout the day. I don’t need to tell you why tote bags are great, I just need to show you how cute this particular one is.
Wendy’s Favorites
Coconut Miracle Oil Body Wash by OGX – Sure, body washes are a dime a dozen, but one that smells great and feels great earns a place in our permanent collections.
Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Lotion – I rarely purchase the same body lotion twice because I like to change up my scents. Wendy loves this key lime scented lotion and I think I might need to try this next.
Neutrogena HydroBoost Foundation – If you saw our Drugstore Haul you know Wendy is working through a serious stash of foundation, but she loves the coverage of this one. (I love the giant doe foot applicator for some reason. It’s a stupid reason to like something, but the heart wants what the heart wants.
Tarte Shape Tape – Every single YouTuber is talking about this concealer and Wendy had to see if it was worth the hype. Turns out, sometimes you can believe what you hear on YouTube. We love this video about how to apply Shape Tape for non-YouTubers. You know what we’re talking about – there’s no way I can go out in the amount of makeup these beauty gurus are applying in their videos.
Veep – I’m trying to get Wendy to watch The West Wing and she’s trying to get me to watch Veep. Who will crack first? This is an HBO show but you can catch the first two seasons with an Amazon Prime subscription or grab an HBO Free Trial!
