I love to travel and visit new cities, eat local foods and take in the sights but I hate the act of traveling. Road trips with a great playlist are easy but getting on an airplane ruins the experience for me. I can’t get excited about a vacation until after we’ve arrived at our destination. This is obviously a problem when I want to visit Paris and Italy, see Hamilton on Broadway in New York City or lay on the beach on Kauai. I’m working on my fears because life isn’t about staying in my little bubble. Am I alone on this? Tell me how you handle your fear of flying.
When Megan and I went to spring training in Arizona a few months ago, I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff she brings in the event of an apocalypse. I bring very little with the mindset that I can buy most anything I need in the event I’ve forgotten something. This explains why I have 20 portable phone chargers in a drawer at home. I forget to bring one every time I go somewhere.

The Pocket Juice portable charger is Megan’s favorite and it costs less than $10. The braided cords from Belkin are a great answer to the terrible cords Apple includes with any of their products and the Belkin car plug with two USB ports is awesome for car rides when you have two people who need devices charged up! Finally, Megan loves these rose gold Beats Solo2 wireless headphones for listening to her favorite podcasts or books when traveling.

I am far less organized when traveling. In fact, I had a hard time coming up with a travel accessory this this month’s One True Love. But, I opened my cabinet and there it was: a Pop Dental Go Sonic toothbrush. I love this toothbrush. It comes in a bunch of different pretty colors and has a cap for travel.
