I can’t count how many times I’ve been into Target over the last few weeks. First, it was because Bullseye’s Playground exploded overnight with the cutest fall and Halloween decor I’ve seen since last year! Ceramic pumpkins and spooky spell books, baking pans, candles and so much more. I was then on a desperate hunt for three orange mini suede pumpkins when all I could find were the gray and green ones. Many, many visits later, I found those three pumpkins. Persistence pays when it comes to the Dollar Spot. Anyway, just down the aisle, the new fall clothes were calling loudly. Target’s has really stepped it up the clothing this fall season and we’re going to show you a few of our favorites in today’s Favorite fall Sweaters from Target try on!
Now, I don’t know about your Target stores but a few of the stores in my area have undergone major remodels. Like, turned, flipped upside down changes. Women’s clothing is now the middle of the store and housewares are where the dressing rooms once were. It’s taken me a few months to get used to these changes because change is hard. But, I especially like the new dressing rooms with their pretty gray wallpaper and nice lighting. And, I love the way Target is now merchandising their clothes. It’s very boutique in a big box store.
Let’s get on to the fall sweater try on, shall we?

Both Megan and I tried on a ton of things but these were the obvious stand outs. Megan left most of hers at the store while my Target Red Card went into overdrive. What can I say? I really needed some new tops for the season.
How do you like Target’s newish line A New Day? I was able to find several shorts this summer that have been my absolute favorite. I had been eyeing this embroidered pullover in cream for a few days before trying it on. I didn’t think it was practical but on I loved the feminine detail in what basically is a sweatshirt. However, the sweatshirt is light enough to wear layered under things – especially this military vest which I saw on a mannequin in the store. Love!
A New Day calls this ruffle sleeve a t-shirt but it’s weight is more of a very light sweater. Megan doesn’t typically gravitate toward yellow but I think this golden hue looks perfect on her and she can wear it throughout the season and reintroduce it again in the spring.
Everyone says Universal Thread is Target’s answer to Madewell. I’ve never shopped at Madewell because – honestly – their clothes aren’t made for my body. Love their looks, just not on me. This Universal Thread Kimono Cardigan (in navy) is so pretty and so versatile. I took home a large (the one in the photo) and you can see how roomy it is. And it has pockets. Win.
Stop right here. This cozy knit striped top from A New Day is ultra soft and luxe. It’s long enough to front tuck or wear out over jeans or leggings. Target’s website even has it paired with a casual pair of shorts. This makes me want to throw a knit beanie on and drink a PSL.
Truth? This Pointelle Open Cardigan from A New Day had me worried about too many Grandma vibes but once I slipped it on, I knew it was coming home with me. So comfy and easy to wear. It comes in four different colors but I gravitated to the dark gray.
Ignore my ridiculous dressing room pose here! Knox Rose isn’t available at all Target stores for some reason but I stumbled across this burgundy lace trimmed sweatshirt and was sold. I love wearing this color during the fall season and the lace detail gives it something extra that makes me feel more put together than wearing a basic sweatshirt.
Ok, friends. Tell us how often are you’re looking for seasonal stuff in the dollar spot and will you grab any of these fall sweaters from Target?
