The fall 2016 FabFitFun box landed on my doorstep earlier this week and I already knew what was inside because I spoiled the fun and looked online. FabFitFun sends out their boxes in waves and a lot of subscribers and brand influencers get their boxes sometimes 10 days before others.
I was actually excited when it arrived because I liked what I saw online a few days earlier. Unfortunately, items vary and I ended up getting things I wasn’t so jazzed about. A $49 box you feel sort of blasé about might mean it’s time to cancel the subscription.
Tell me if you think it’s time to cancel or hang on for one more box.

ModCloth Loc and Key Scarf – $34.99
This came in four different colors. I got the one with brown, black and white which reads like a knock-off Burberry. Regardless of blanket scarves being on trend, I will never wear it as such. I threw it in my car to use as a lap blanket when it gets cold at the soccer field.
Coloring book and pencils – $14
I wish I had the time to sit down and mindlessly color for hours on end. Stuffed these in the craft closet for my 8 year old. Additionally, the box was meant to be colored as well. That will never happen so in the recycle bin it went.
The Created Co. To-Go Coffee Mug – $19
Two versions of this cup were sent and I wish I would have gotten the “Good Morning Gorgeous” cup instead of the other. This gal finds no joy in the morning.
Mullein & Sparrow Mini French Lavender Body Oil – $18
I love this kind of stuff so give me all the body oils.
The Browgal Clear, Water-Resistant Eyebrow Gel – $20
I’ve found myself browsing for a brow gel recently so I’m excited to give this one a try.
Spongellé Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer – $16
This buffer sponge came in a previous subscription box and that’s ok with me. I love rose scented anything so yeah, using this definitely.
Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection Eyeshadow Palette – $50
Woah nelly! This is one of two big ticket items inside this box. This palette is almost identical to Urban Decay’s Naked Basics and that is one of my all-time favorites. Excited to try this one.
Toes Toeless Fitness Socks – $18
I typically poo-poo fitness products in subscription boxes but I’ve been contemplating taking a yoga class or two and maybe I’ll wear these. Maybe.
Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum – $50
Here’s the second big ticket item. I know I’ve seen this brand in other boxes and don’t remember being wowed by it but words like “restore” make me happy.
Throw-In Freebies from Cottonelle and Secret Deodorant
Not jazzed by these so much but it saves me a trip to Target.
Total retail value of this box is $240. Worth it?
It looks like fun, but still a tad too steep of a price tag to justify (at least for me). But you should TOTALLY keep getting these, so that we can live vicariously through you. 🙂
I haven’t canceled yet! We’ll see!! Thanks for commenting, Jenny!
