How Many New Movies is Hallmark Releasing in May 2023?
Hallmark Media announced four new movies for the month of May 2023. Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will each premiere two new movies. In addition, Hallmark Channel will air the remaining three movies from “The Love Club” during the month.

Stars: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Chelsea Hobbs, Roger Cross and Andrew J. Hampton
With Broadway aspirations a dream of the past, Danielle (Tamera Mowry-Housley) and Claire (Chelsea Hobbs) learn it’s never too late to become what or who you want to be.
Our thoughts: Really love this premise and hope the movie doesn’t fall to the old trope of women pitted against each other.
Love in Zion National: A National Park Romance
Premieres: Saturday, May 20, 2023
Stars: Cindy Busby and David Gridley
Lauren (Busby) is an assistant curator out to prove a set of ancient vases belongs with the Pueblo Nation. She journeys to Zion to find what she needs to make her case and along the way meets Adam (Gridley), a native Puebloan park ranger, who helps her on mission.
Our thoughts: Guess Hallmark didn’t want to go with our movie idea “Geyser of Love.”

The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost
Previously titled “A Jane Da Silva Mystery: Case of the Broken Song”
Premiere: FRIDAY, MAY 12 at 9/8c (previously slated to premiere on Sunday, May 14, 2023)
Stars: Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar
Singer Jane Da Silva (Sweetin) inherits a non-profit detective agency that helps people who aren’t able to help themselves. Jane’s Aunt Sadie (Paris Jefferson) and Detective John Cameron (Huszar) act as her mentors. As Jane investigates a multi-level marketing company that took advantage of her client’s fragile mom, she realizes that digging up the past can be dangerous.
Our thoughts: a MLM murder mystery? We’re all in.
Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery

Premiere: FRIDAY, MAY 19th at 9/8c (previously slated to premiere on Sunday, May 21)
Stars: Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison and Barbara Niven
Hannah (Sweeney) begins to investigate a case after the remains of an unidentified person is uncovered. As she tries to piece together the events that led to the murder and tries to learn the victim’s true identity, Hannah even calls on her mother Delores (Niven) as she works to bring the killer to justice and uncover the truth.
