A while back we set out to record a video of our everyday makeup collections. 45 minutes later we weren’t finished and we decided to take a different approach. We’ve been recording our everyday makeup collections, broken up into manageable categories, and this week we tackled our eye makeup collections. (You can see our everyday foundations, concealers and powders here.)
We had a few identical products, but a few pretty strong differences, too. Wendy prefers a brow powder, while Megan is all about the pencil. Wendy swears by waterproof mascara, but Megan pretty much hates it. Our favorite everyday eye shadow palette though, that was something we totally agree on.
Here are all of the products featured in the video.
Cover Girl Eye Enhancers – Wendy loves this OG eye shadow palette, and with good reason. It’s affordable, it’s neutral and it’s totally nostalgic.
Lorac Pro 2 Palette – Megan was originally afraid of this big, bad palette – especially some of the bolder colors – but has grown to really love it.
Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer – Never leave home without eye primer.
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner – Not the most amazing eye liner in the world, but Megan is liking this one for the moment.
Beautique Eyeliner – Wendy took a trip back in time to Sally Beauty and picked up this pretty plum eyeliner. Score one for Sally!
Milani Brow Fix Kit – Perhaps the best thing about the kit are the itty bitty brushes. Wendy swears by the blond powder for her brows in this mini palette.
NYX Brow Pencil – Cheap, effective, and readily available at Target. Checks every one of Megan’s makeup requirements.
IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eye Pencil – Totally the opposite of the NYX pencil above, but what can we say, this is a great eye pencil, even if the name is entirely too long.
Cover Girl Supersizer Mascara – Wendy loves this, Megan likes it sometimes. (Sometimes it’s clumpy like WHOA.)
Maybelline Falsies Push-Up Drama – Another favorite of Wendy’s (in waterproof of course.) Everyone on the internet is talking about this and there’s no clear consensus, but one half of Long Story Short votes a huge YES.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – The big fluffy brush on this guy gives Megan the heart eyes emoji face. So good.
