Recently Wendy and I were eager for a challenge, so we headed to our respective dollar stores (Wendy to the Dollar Tree and I went to the 99 cent store) and did our best to put together an Easter Basket for $10. As soon as Wendy had completed her basket, she sent me a text to declare herself the winner.
Easter Baskets at the Dollar Tree?
As you can see in the video below, we went in totally different directions. Wendy focused on a basket for tweens and her nine-year-old daughter gave it the thumbs up, or whatever the kids are doing these days, so that’s definitely a huge point in the win column. My basket was a little more traditionally Easter, with a focus on sweet treats and baking. Wendy dinged me a point because I didn’t include the actual mix for baking cupcakes, thus making it not a complete basket.
All kidding aside, I do think Wendy’s idea was smart, included everything you would need for a finished product, and totally on-trend so I will grudgingly grant her the win also. Plus that braces basket is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen!
