DIY Candy Gift Ideas
A few years ago, I made small candy gifts for friends and teachers at the holidays. Put any candy in a mason jar and it’s sure to be well received! Add a custom label and pretty ribbon to customize your gift.
I really try to keep in mind what my friends like when creating a DIY candy gift. Megan loves Hot Tamales and Haribo gummy candies, so those would be my go-to options. She also loves Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews so I always stock up when I find them in store.
Not exactly sure what kind of candy to gift? I highly recommend anything from the candy aisle at Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s has some amazing candy, including gummies, sour candies and “Swedish Fish.”
But, they also have an excellent selection of chocolates. Chocolate Covered Caramels, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans, Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds, Milk Chocolate Smashing S’mores, Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks, and so many more.
The candy at Trader Joe’s would make an awesome candy gift basket or candy graze board like the one below from one of my favorite grazing board makers.
Candy Gifts that Aren’t Edible
Wait, what? Look, people who love candy, like Megan, like candy STUFF.
Lucky Charms Candle – That’s right, folks. A candle modeled after everyone’s favorite freeze dried marshmallows. What’s even better is that you can scatter the “cereal” wax and the “marshmallow” wax over the “milk” wax. It’s a candle and an activity all in one.
Laneige Sleep Mask Gummy Bear Scent – This lip balm has the nerve to be both effective and delicious smelling. You can get a set of minis in all of the Laneige scents from Sephora, but we’re partial to this gummy bear scent, what can we say.
Gummy Bear Mask Set – For the tween candy lover in your life – toss these in a stocking and make their day.
Sour Patch Kids Morphe Palette – These colors are bananas, but this palette gets incredible reviews. For your budding TikTok makeup guru – add this to your list!
