Go ahead and call me basic because I cannot get enough of the black buffalo check this holiday season. Today we’re sharing what exactly inspired my full blown obsession and where to find a few of our favorite things. This post has been updated for 2022.
I know buffalo check falls in line with a farmhouse aesthetic and while I would consider my home’s decor to be anything but I still can’t help falling for that black and white plaid.
It all started when I saw this Instagram photo from @theoldhouseonmain. She’s always changing out her guest bedroom but it’s the buffalo check pillows and throw that make me want to snuggle down into one of those beds and watch Netflix. Totally not creepy at all, right?
Then, I stumbled across the most gorgeous buffalo check tree skirt at my favorite Home Goods and wanted it so badly but knew that it wouldn’t go with any other Christmas decor we already have. So, I left it but find myself doing a drive by each time I’m in the store to see if another one is there.
