It’s no secret how much we both love a good trip to Starbucks and while we disagree about the arrival of the red holiday cup, we are both ecstatic about the adorable merchandise from their 2016 holiday collection. Here are the stand out gifts you should get for someone you love or for yourself – and hurry! The best of the Starbucks holiday collection is already being scooped up.
What We’re loving from the 2016 Holiday Collection
The Bearista Bears are Back! Originally introduced in 1997, Starbucks discontinued selling the seasonal Bearista Bear in 2008. I actually have several stashed with my holiday decorations because I can’t say no to soft, plush animals. I squealed with joy when I saw a three of the five bears on my local Starbucks shelves. I’m partial to the one with the green apron but the traditionalist in me says to get the one with the original brown apron. If you see one, grab it. These are a cult favorite and are quick to sell out after being in hibernation for so long.
The day after Thanksgiving is writing itself. Leftovers, Gilmore Girls on Netflix and building this ridiculously cute Starbucks gingerbread house. Another one you need to get before it’s gone.
The Starbucks Copper Coffee Press is screaming my name. Now, of course, I usually just pop in a K-Cup and call it my morning joe but this gorgeous coffee press is so beautiful that I want to pretend I’ll use it. Even more, I really want matching copper coffee scoop. This would make a beautiful gift set for someone who uses a coffee press!
The Next Thing is Already Sold Out Online!
Something different in the Holiday Collection is this kitschy 1912 Pike Street Sculpture. Already sold out in most places but my local SBUX had two available last weekend. I’ve been to the original Pike Street location and I gotta say I want this because of that special trip and my love affair with Starbucks. Grab one if you see it!
What we don’t need in this house is another coffee tumbler or mug but the holiday drink ware is hard to resist. More so, they make the perfect delivery system for a gift card. They have several designs at different price points and many that aren’t holiday-specific so they can be used all throughout the year. My favorite from the bunch are the Anniversary Scales mug, the Half-Full double wall traveler, the Word Search double wall traveler, the sweet Polar Bear mug and the $75 Swarovski crystal embellished double wall traveler. I’m guessing that one is hand wash only.
I don’t even drink espresso and I feel like a need a collection of Demi mugs. I can keep paper clips in one, right? Love the Starbucks Storefront Demi mug and the Tail of the Siren Demi mug.
We already have plenty of Starbucks ornaments – yes, I buy at least one every year forgetting how many we already have. I am definitely adding the Starbucks Delivery Truck, the SBUX Logo set and the Coffee Press to our collection this year.
Last but not least: The gift cards! There are so many designs to choose from and something for everyone. They even have blanks ones with a mini-Sharpie pen to create your own Starbucks gift card. This is a brilliant idea for a custom Starbucks gift card. Give your kid the pen and have them go to town decorating for grandparents, mom, dad or whomever drinks coffee in your lives.
Gone But Not Forgotten
Missing this year: The Advent Calendar. I’ve fallen prey to the Starbucks Advent Calendar in previous years and have been disappointed for the price. I’m ok spending all my dollars on other gifts, cake pops and black tea lemonade anyway.
What’s the one thing from the 2016 Starbucks Holiday Collection that you’re going to run out right now and get?
