When I clicked on Amazon this morning and discovered that Oprah had released her annual list of her favorite things I felt my first zing of real holiday excitement. And, although I love this list every year, I really do miss her annual televised gift extravaganza. Watching her lose her mind over Ugg boots and cozy pajamas was on my must-see list every year right up among my favorite Christmas movies.
The list is long and good (and you can see the entire thing here) and full of gifts and multiple price points and for all kinds of recipients.. I picked my ten faves from the list here I’m sharing them here. (This post contains affiliate links.)
Aura Smart Picture Frame
Many years ago I got my parents a digital picture frame and for the past few years the photos have gotten horribly outdated as we’ve been terrible about updating the memory stick and adding new photos. Over the summer I gave my mom one of these new bluetooth frames and it’s amazing! I can upload photos at home and they magically appear on her frame. Add this to the list for any grandparents or far away family members.
Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker
The FitBit has gotten prettier! (And has more functions, which I guess is the point.) This really is the best of the step counters/fitness trackers and odds are someone in your life probably really wants one of these. (I do. The gold one.)
Jellycat Stuffed Toys
My kids have a LOT of stuffed animals, but the Jellycat ones are by far my favorite. This hedgehog might need to make its way into our lives this year. Also, there’s a sloth. A SLOTH. Not just for the kids in your life, that’s for sure!
Mini Bluetooth Wireless Speaker
I’m inclined to tell you to grab one of these for the teens in your lives, but perhaps there are others that need these adorable animal speakers. Maybe for a nightstand or a small space? They have some voice activated commands and six different animal options. At $25 I think you need a LOT of these.
Detroit Friends Potato Chip Crate
Not sure this one really needs an explanation. If you can’t think of someone that needs eight bags of potato chips under the tree you might need to rethink your friend list.
Fossil Emma Large Zip Wallet
I have this wallet in a slightly different design and I love it. I prefer a wallet that zips shut to hide the many receipts I’m always carrying around. I love the wrist strap on this one so I can just grab it and run into the store without my entire purse.
Yedi Houseware Bone China Mugs
These are just beautiful and I want them.
Perhaps it’s the fact that we have precious little need for a fire and the fact that our fires are all gas powered, but I am so charmed by these fire starters. I wish I had a need for them or someone to give them to.
Orbit Key Finder
The best thing about this is that you can both find your phone with your kids and find your keys with your phone. It’s a toss up which one I’ll lose on any given day. This comes in several great colors but I’m partial to the rose gold.
Butter London Most Wonderful of All Color Set
This is definitely extravagant as spending $150 on nail polish seems so beyond reasonable. But it’s also beautiful, a total statement, and genuinely good nail polish.
Emi-Jay Hair Ties
Speaking of extravagant $24 for 12 hair ties seems a bit much, but these are more about the whimsy than the function that can be found in a $3 pack of black hair elastics.
