Earlier this week I shared my current favorite hair dryer, known as the magic hair dryer in my circle of friends, in our Instagram stories. The review is saved in our highlights, so no worries if you missed it! Our messages blew up with questions and declarations of “ordered!” and I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on this thing as it has changed my hair for the better!
It seems only fitting that we would sit down to chat about our favorite hair products. Without realizing it, this video became an exercise in complete opposites. Of course Wendy and I have completely different hair, so the products that we love are entirely different, but the differences went further than that. My choices were all readily available at the drugstore, while Wendy is a salon girl all the way! Which one are you?

The Best Hair Products for Long and Short Hair
Side note: Since the making of this video I’ve picked up several knock-offs of the Invisibobble thinking that I could save a few bucks and I’m here to tell you that nothing beats an original in this case. They might look the same, but the performance is sub-par! Stick with the real thing folks.

I use Suave Rosemary&Mint for cowashing, Shea Moisture Coconut&Hibiscus conditioner for actual conditioning, Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream, and top it all off with göt2b Glued Styling Spiking Glue. I keep the styling products in the shower, because hair does best if I apply products when it’s still soaking wet.
That last step is probably where most curlies would turn back. That gel definitely makes my curls really hard the first day, and I know a lot of curlies haaaaaate crunchy hair, but it gives me great (softer) second and third day hairs.
