Every woman of a certain age has certainly just gasped when they read the news that Judy Blume’s classic Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret has been adapted into a movie and is coming to theaters!
You’ve probably also muttered “We must, we must, we must increase our bust,” under your breath. Or maybe that’s just me.

Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret will be released only in theaters on April 28, 2023.
Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret – Official Trailer!
Should I read the book first?
Honestly I’m over here clutching my pearls that any woman of a certain age hasn’t read this classic, but my answer here is YES.
Are You There God, It’s Me Margaret is the kind of book that many women remember as a touchstone in their childhoods. I’ve requested it from the library both in order to re-read and to introduce it to my 12 year old daughter.
If you don’t want to wait for a library hold to come in, or if you want to grab a copy with an updated cover, you can order one right now!
