This year, in an effort to eliminate unnecessary expenses from our budget, we canceled certain services including Amazon Prime. I found that I didn’t really miss it all that much, and usually we could easily get to the free shipping threshold. However, when I was offered another free trial month (that they then extended a second month when I attempted to cancel) I found myself taking advantage of all things Amazon once again.
I binge-watched all six seasons of Downton Abbey, since the only place you can find the Crawley’s streaming is via Amazon Prime. I also found myself mindlessly filling my cart with recommendations from friends. I took my own advice and waited a day between adding items to my cart and pushing order so that I could be sure I really wanted them, rather than simply falling prey to the instant gratification of fast, free shipping.
It’s definitely true that the ease of ordering from Amazon makes me more likely to place an order, but it’s also true that I’ve found several items that have genuinely improved my life. A lot of these items aren’t easy to find elsewhere and certainly aren’t available at the price you’ll find on Amazon.

I will probably let my Prime subscription lapse once again, but not before I share five of my favorite Amazon items, all of which are under ten dollars!

Amazon Favorites Under $10
1.Milk Frother $2.49 – It’s hard to believe this would be any good at this price, but it’s GREAT! Yes, I have the fancy Aeroccino that came with my Nespresso, but I find myself using this more because it’s cordless and easier to clean. Make our Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew using this frother and thank me later!
2. Exfoliating Towel $8.04 for five towels – I find exfoliating to be incredibly satisfying, and this towel isn’t for the novice exfoliator. It’s a hurts-so-good situation, rather than a soothing spa experience, but your skin will feel amazing after, I promise.
3. Rael Acne Patch $9.99 for 48 patches – I have tried many versions of the pimple patch and this is my favorite. They’re transparent, they stay in place all night and they work in the grossest way possible. I wish these were around during my teenage years, but I’m happy to have them on hand for my own kids.
4. Tinkle Razor $7.03 for 12 razors – Turning 40 is so magical. I get to deal with excess facial hair while I’m still breaking out. Even if you’ve never noticed the hair on your face, one swipe with a Tinkle razor will blow your mind. This is less about being ashamed of your face and more about the baby’s butt softness you’ll feel once you’ve swiped away the baby hairs. Be sure to use on clean skin and swipe your skin with a toner or micellar water after use.
5. Foot File $7.40 – This foot file will remove an unholy amount of skin from your heels and leave you both disgusted and thrilled. Take it from me – your heels need this level of love.
