For years, Trader Joe’s has been a haven for delicious and affordable groceries, but did you know their beauty aisle holds hidden gems too? They offer a surprising range of high-quality skincare products that cater to a variety of skin types and concerns, all without breaking the bank!
This is good news for anyone looking to elevate their beauty routine without a hefty price tag. Whether you’re a skincare newbie or a seasoned pro, Trader Joe’s has something to offer.
Trader Joe’s can do no wrong in our book but it’s so much more than cookies and quick meals. They have a pretty awesome beauty and health section with incredible products that are often overlooked because who typically shops at Trader Joe’s for face lotion, you know?
Megan and I have found many of our all-time, everyday beauty favorites in the aisles of Trader Joe’s. When this list was created, we shared our five favorites.
There are so many new releases in the Trader Joe’s beauty aisle that this list has grown over time. Definitely throw one or more of these in your cart the next time you’re shopping.
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s in your area, we’ve added links to many of the items that can be found on Amazon (those are affiliate links, your click supports our site – thank you!)

Hydration Heroes at Trader Joe’s
Dry Skin? Dive into the rich world of body butters. Trader Joe’s offers a variety of options, like the ever-popular Coconut Body Butter, packed with nourishing shea butter and coconut oil. These butters leave your skin feeling luxuriously soft and hydrated, even during the harsh winter months.
You’ll find seasonal scents, like pumpkin in the fall and mango in the summer, but the original Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter is hands down the best scent of them all. This body cream is thick and smooth made with pure coconut oil, shea butter, aloe and vitamin E.

NEW! Trader Joe’s Brazil Nut Body Butter
Do not sleep on this product!
Trader Joe’s Body Butters are well loved, but the newer Brazil Nut formula has fans screaming that it’s a dupe for Sol de Janeiro’s BumBum cream, a product that’s nearly ten times the price.
We agree! This body butter smells heavenly and has a lightweight, highly moisturizing formula. Get it this summer before it sells out!
Hyaluronic Acid lovers, rejoice! Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer boasts this hero ingredient alongside vitamin E for a lightweight, yet deeply hydrating formula. Perfect for oily or acne-prone skin!
Sensitive Skin SOS: For those with easily irritated skin, fret no more. Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion is a gentle fragrance-free formula packed with calming aloe vera and witch hazel.
I shared the Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion once in a favorites video and Megan made fun of its “old lady” scent. Go ahead and call me an old lady then because this is my all time favorite beauty product from Trader Joe’s.
I LOVE this PABA and paraben-free daily moisturizer and wear it every day under my makeup. My only wish is that it had a higher SPF. It is amazing!

Glowing Skin on a Budget at Trader Joe’s
- Vitamin C serums are all the rage, but they can come with a hefty price tag. Trader Joe’s offers a fantastic alternative with their Radiance Serum. This lightweight formula brightens and evens skin tone, making it a great choice for those looking to combat dark spots and achieve a radiant glow.
- The multitasking power of facial oils! Trader Joe’s beauty section houses a variety of facial oils, like jojoba oil and rose oil, perfect for adding a touch of luxury and extra moisture to your routine. These oils are a natural alternative to harsh chemical products and can be a great way to achieve a dewy, healthy-looking complexion.
- Mist your way to dewy skin! If you’re not misting your face, what are you waiting for? The Trader Joe’s Rose Water Facial Toner spray can be used both on clean skin and over makeup! Use it to refresh your skin throughout the day and the rose scent is blissful.
No, it won’t make your makeup melt off of your face unless you positively drench yourself in it. Megan even likes this is a makeup setting spray, even though it’s not marketed that way.

Head to Toe Beauty at Trader Joe’s
Wake up with Tea Tree Tingle! Tea Tree oil is super polarizing. Some really love it and some can’t stand it. I love the tingly refreshing feeling from the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle body wash. This was one of the very first beauty products I bought from TJ’s.
I’m fickle about most products in general but I keep coming back to this body wash which is made up of organic tea tree oil, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and thyme. You can also find the Tea Tree Tingle in a shampoo and conditioner.

A smooth shave every time: I’ve mentioned that I only recently ditched bar soap for shave cream when shaving my legs. I really don’t know why I waited so long! I took a chance on the Trader Joe’s Moisturizing Cream Shave in Honey Mango and it is amazing. It smells wonderful, it comes in a plastic tube (instead of a can) and is paraben-free.

Trader Joe’s Shampoo Bar – Peppermint and Tea Tree
You have your shampoo in a bar? This shampoo bar does a great job as a clarifying shampoo without stripping your hair of the oils it needs to be healthy.
This shampoo bar from Trader Joe’s smells HEAVENLY. If you’re not familiar with shampoo bars, you use them just like a bar of soap. Rub the soap directly on your scalp or in your hands to create a lather and then shampoo as usual.
Don’t forget to protect those lips! Forget the cutesy name of Trader Johann’s Lip Balm Virtuoso and just remember that Trader Joe’s sells a 3-pack spearmint lip balm. Megan is a Chapstick die hard and I was able to sway her with these. The lip balm goes on smooth and has a strong spearmint flavor.
I really like that they are made of 50% organic ingredients and have a SPF 15. These can be hard to find. Look for a hanging display or near the register.

And everything in between with Trader Joe’s Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm. A little tin of moisturizing balm that works wonders on dry elbows and feet. It even smooths fly away hair. Talk about all-in-one.

Technically not on the beauty aisle but Trader Joe’s Virgin Organic Coconut Oil is fantastic. If you aren’t on the coconut oil train, what are you waiting for? I use it to remove makeup, mix with my essential oils, treat a sunburn, and add to smoothies. It’s a wonder product. I’m in love with these new little packets perfect for travel!

We moved from LA 9 years ago and I STILL miss TJs. I would love to get my hands on the daily moisturizer. The closest one is Dallas. Looks like a road trip is in order.
