The minute the calendar rolls over to November, I start filling up my DVR with Christmas movies. We own a quite a few Christmas movies on DVD and we make it a point to watch them throughout the season, but I love a good Hallmark Christmas movie, I have to admit. Hallmark may be the channel we all think of when it comes to heartwarming holiday movies, but they’re certainly not the only one in the game.
Hallmark Movie Calendar
Hallmark has done the work for you by creating this calendar of their 22 new movies for this season! Don’t worry though, you can check your channel listings and see that they will be showing many of their previous hits throughout the season so there will be more than enough Hallmark in your life this season! You can grab a printable version of this calendar here. If you scroll through the listings, you’ll see so many familiar names! Of course there’s Hallmark channel mainstay Candace Cameron Bure, along with Lacey Chabert, Holly Robinson Peete, Brooke D’Orsay, Lori Loughlin, and so many more. I can already tell it’s going to be great this year!
UPtv Christmas Calendar
Let’s skip straight to the middle of this list where we find the Gilmore The Merrier, a seven day Gilmore Girls Marathon. You guys know we love our girls and I love the idea of turning on my TV at any hour and stumbling upon my favorite episodes. In addition to old favorites, you can add the new premieres listed below to your watch list!
Netflix Christmas Movies
Alert! Alert! There will be A Christmas Prince SEQUEL! This movie took the internet by storm last year both for its low-budget ridiculousness, and because we’re all suckers for a girl-turned-princess story. In the year of the Harry and Meghan wedding, this is the Christmas fantasy we all need. Also, there was this:

But the people were on to something because this year we’re getting A Royal Wedding, the sequel to A Christmas Prince. Netflix will also debut three other new Christmas movies this year.

Christmas Movies on Lifetime
Lifetime kicks off “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” featuring 14 new films (and 8 previously released) on November 21 at 8:00 pm with My Christmas Inn. Perhaps the most noteworthy event of the series is the One Tree Hill cast reunion on November 22, following The Christmas Contract (that features One Tree Hill alums!)

Freeform Countdown to Christmas
This list honestly has me scratching my head. Other than a few Christmas movies, this is really just a month of kids movies. Good movies to be sure, but non-holiday specific for the most part. Still, if you’re looking to fill your DVR with The Santa Clause or The Santa Clause 3 (why not the second movie? It’s delightful!) we’re including the list.
TBS – A Christmas Story Marathon
Is this where I tell you that A Christmas Story is not one of my beloved holiday movies? It just isn’t, I’m sorry! But I know to many it is a classic and that is why TBS is continuing their tradition of 24 hours of A Christmas Story beginning at 8pm on Christmas Eve and continuing to play every 2 hours until the last show starts at 6:00pm on Christmas Day.
Phew! That’s quite a list! That doesn’t even touch the many holiday classics that will air on network TV throughout the season (and our aforementioned stack of DVDs that are absolute must-viewing during the holidays.
