But Megan, you say, we’re always wearing masks, who’s wearing lip gloss anymore? And to that I say, I AM.

At home, yes. Under a mask, yes. The lip gloss habit is part of my routine, part of a midday stop to “freshen up.” It’s a tiny, simple joy that I haven’t let go of.

With that said, we’ve got a splurge and steal option here.

SPLURGE: Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Shimmering Rose Nude. I’ve seen this gloss on a ton of skin tones and it manages to be universally flattering. $19. Okay, maybe it’s not a SPLURGE, so much as it is simply the higher-end option.

STEAL: Maybelline Lifter gloss in Moon. $6.99 (at Target - several dollars more everywhere else.)

Both have fun packaging, giant doe foot applicators, and a shimmer that is pretty and not like the Wet ’n Wild frosty glosses of our youth.
