Trader Joe’s is so much more than cookies and pre-packaged salads. They have a pretty awesome beauty and health section with incredible products that are often overlooked because no one really goes to TJ’s for face cream, you know?
Here are the top 5 best beauty products from Trader Joe’s
Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter
You’ll find seasonal scents, like pumpkin in the fall and mango in the summer, but the original Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter is hands down the best scent of them all. This body cream is thick and smooth made with pure coconut oil, shea butter, aloe and vitamin E.
Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Body Wash
Tea Tree oil is super polarizing. Some really love it and some can’t stand it. I love the tingly refreshing feeling from the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle body wash. This was one of the very first beauty products I bought from TJ’s. I’m fickle about most products in general but I keep coming back to this body wash which is made up of organic tea tree oil, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and thyme.
Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion with SPF 15
I shared the Trader Joe’s Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion once in a favorites video and Megan made fun of its “old lady” scent. Well call me an old lady then because this is my all time favorite beauty product from Trader Joe’s. I LOVE this PABA and paraben-free daily moisturizer and wear it every day under my makeup. My only wish is that it had a higher SPF.
Trader Johann’s Virtuoso
Forget the cutesy name and just remember that Trader Joe’s sells a 3-pack spearmint lip balm. Megan is a Chapstick die hard and I was able to sway her with these. The lip balm goes on smooth and has a strong spearmint flavor. I really like that they are made of 50% organic ingredients and have a SPF 15. These can be hard to find. Look for a hanging display or near the register.
Trader Joe’s Moisturizing Cream Shave
If you’ve watched our most recent favorites video, I mentioned that I only recently ditched bar soap for shave cream when shaving my legs. I really don’t know why I waited so long! I took a chance on the Trader Joe’s Moisturizing Cream Shave in Honey Mango and it is amazing. It smells wonderful, it comes in a plastic tube (instead of a can) and is paraben-free.
A few honorable mentions:
Trader Joe’s Head to Toe Moisturizing Balm – a little tin of moisturizing balm that works wonders on dry elbows and feet. It even smooths fly away hair. Talk about all-in-one.
Trader Joe’s Micellar Cleansing Towelettes – I have a stash of cleansing wipes so I haven’t bought these in a while but considering the are free from a bunch of chemicals makes them well worth the $3.99 price.
Technically not on the beauty aisle but Trader Joe’s Virgin Organic Coconut Oil is fantastic. If you aren’t on the coconut oil train, what are you waiting for? I use it to remove makeup, mix with my essential oils, treat a sunburn, and add to smoothies. It’s a wonder product.
